ABSTRACT
Limited information, especially accurate geographical based as a tool to determine the location of transportation infrastructure is definitely one of the obstacles faced by companies. The author is interested in compiling an information system device that can display a combination of two data, road technical data as a bank data and geographic data and information as supporting data on location determination.
The research was carried out at PT. Sawit Sumbermas Sarana Tbk, namely PT. TSA Melata estate, The method in this study uses descriptive methods. In managing maps by digital analysis using the post clasification change detection (PCCD) method, and in estimating costs using the transportation method with the help of the Qm-Windows program.
Based on the observations of GIS in the transportation of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) from the garden and Qm-windows for estimating the cost of transporting fresh fruit bunches (FFB). Both of these applications can be used as reference considerations for policy making in transportation management of FFB palm oil plantations
