PENGARUH FRAKSI PANEN TERHADAP OIL YIELD DAN LOSSES BRONDOLAN DI PERKEBUNAN KELAPA SAWIT PT. ADYAKSA DARMA SATYA KOTAWARINGIN TIMUR
Palm oil harvesting must be done in time to obtain high oil content and low levels of free fatty acids. High oil content is produced from the good ripeness of fruit during harvesting that starts from the determination of the harvest fraction. In the process of harvesting the harvest fraction affects the Oil Extraction Rate (OER) and Free Fatty Acid (FFA), so that the quality of CPO produced can determine the selling price. The purpose of this study is to find out the effect of harvest fraction on OER, FFA and loose fruit losses and get the right harvest fraction information in terms of yield and quality of CPO. This research was conducted at PT. Adyaksa Darma Satya (ADS) Pangrango Estate and ADS Mill Laboratory, located in the area of Tanjung Jorong Village, Tualan Hulu District, East Kotawaringin Regency. The research was conducted in November – December 2020. The data was analyzed with Simple Linear Regression to determine the effect of harvest fractions on FFA, OER and loose fruit losses as well as descriptive analysis to determine the exact harvest fraction in terms of yield and CPO quality. The results of the analysis revealed a real effect of harvest fraction on oil yield (OER) in fresh fruit bunch (FFB). Harvest fractions 2 and 3 result in oil yields and FFA as well as higher loose fruit losses than harvest fraction 1. This reveals that increased oil synthesis is followed by FFA as a result of hydrolysis and oxidation occurring during and after the harvest of FFB. The increase in FFA is an indicator of setbacks followed by an increase in loose fruit losses that occur due to the establishment of an abscission zone. The increased content of ethylene and abscisic acid in the tissues of fruitlets leads to the formation of an abscess zone followed by the detached of the fruits. Fraction 3 has the highest total loss compared to other harvest fractions. Therefore, harvesting management and transport of fresh fruit bunches need to get the top priority to produce maximum oil and quality while maintaining cost efficiency.
